Module 2: Poster Presentation

Assignment

1. Confirm with CSR return of the Authorship Permission form mailed through STEPs
2. Develop an electronic poster for a presentation outside of the course using one of the UMSON poster templates available at UMSON Poster Templates.
3. Submit the poster under Assignments and also attach them to a thread on the course discussion board for peer review.  
4. Review the poster of your assigned peer member and copy the grading rubric into a Word document. However, in place of a numeric grade, include comments. Your comments should be:
   1. Substantive: Comments should be at least one full page in length single-spaced addressing each item in the table.
   2. Constructive: Try to offer solutions, not just identify problems.
   3. Specific: Include a specific example of what is being recommended.
   4. Sensitive: Keep comments on a positive note and avoid the use of negative language.
   5. Balanced: Point out strengths as well as weaknesses.
5. Come to the next web conferencing session ready to share the strengths and areas for improvement of your peer’s work.
6. Email your comments to your peer following the class, and copy the course faculty member on the email.
