NDNP 813 - DNP Project Evaluation and Dissemination

Module 4: DNP Project Manuscript

Conclusion

The conclusion section is the final section of the manuscript. A conclusion section refocuses the purpose of the research, revealing a synopsis of what was found and leads into the implications of the findings. In this section, summarize the overall conclusion of the data analysis based on the purpose and goals of the DNP project and includes implication for practice.

Generalization of the findings from students’ DNP quality improvement project should be made with caution, as data are usually based on a self-selected convenience sample of the organizations. However, the project implementation plans, measures used to collect data, and findings may be of value to others, who wish to implement similar practice changes. However, take care in being definitive about the application of findings to other sites.

Implications

A conclusion may also include implications of the project for clinical practice, or a description of the how the results of your project can be applied in practice. Often these implications take the form of personal insights or suggestions. If relevant, implications for future research needs, education, health policy or administration may also be discussed.
