How Do I get started in a blackboard course

Welcome to your Blackboard course site. In a Blackboard course, usually you can find the following sections on the course menu bar.

  • Start Here
  • Announcements
  • Course Information
  • Faculty Information
  • Online Modules or Contents
  • Assignments/Assessments
  • Discussion Board
  • Blackboard Collaborate
  • Blackboard Tools
  • Help & Resources

The following information may help you to get started in your Blackboard course.

  1. Check the "Announcements" page for important course information from the instructors.
  2. Check the "Course Information" section for Course syllabus and important dates of the course.
  3. Check the "Faculty Information" section for the information about your course instructors.
  4. Check the "Modules or Content" section for the learning content.
  5. Check the "Discussion Board" to familiarize with online communication method.
  6. Check the "Assignments/Assessments", "Blackboard Tools" and "Help & Resources" sections to get familiar with the course navigation.
