Module 1: The Teaching Process

Teaching Portfolios

A teaching portfolio is one way a teacher can document their teaching experiences. It is a way for showcasing the teachers achievements in teaching.

Vanderbilt University offers useful information on aspects of developing a teaching portfolio.

A concise description of parts of a teaching portfolio comes from Rutgers University.Creation of a teaching portfolio is described by The Ohio State University.

Electronic Portfolios?

Electronic portfolios (E-Portfolios) are often used by students and teachers alike. This is especially true in visual and performing arts disciplines, but also worthy of consideration for those in health professions as electronic communication is increasingly used in applications for positions and documents such as curriculum vitaes. The Vanderbilt University source above overviews these from the perspective of differences of these from print portfolios. You will find this information toward the end of this link.
