Read the attached research study and begin to frame our approach to critical appraisal.

1. Read the title and abstract – what health care issue or topic is this study relevant to?
2. Read the entire study, highlighting or making notes of important information.
3. Then, either use the appriasal tool from the NRSG 790 Research Appraisal Assignment or a CASP Checklist
   1. Consider sources of bias or methodology weaknesses that may impact the validity of the study
4. Complete the Critical Appraisal tutorial on the EBBP website to develop your appraisal competency skills
