1. What is the difference between research, evidence-based practice and quality improvement? With working definitions of each of these activities in mind, read the article by Marilyn Hockenberry and consider why Institutional Review Board approval may be deemed necessary for some EBP and quality improvement projects, but not others.
2. Apply the Quality Improvement or Research Worksheetto the studies in your Evidence Review Table
   • Are any of the sources in your Evidence Table quality improvement initiatives?
   • How do you know and did you previously realize that?
