Overview

This module will be covering the following content:

• Review of Standardized terminologies, including nursing terminologies and transactions code sets
• Promoting Interoperability (PI) Programs (formerly Meaningful use of EHRs)
• Health IT Privacy and Security Standards

Objectives

At the conclusion of this module, the learner will be able to:

• Explain the importance and different types of standardized terminologies, including nursing terminologies, used in healthcare informatics and transactions code sets.
• Explain the background and definitions of Promoting Interoperability (PI) Programs.
• Describe health IT privacy and security standards.
