Select two middle range or practice theories that are relevant to your potential project or research study. The following questions may be helpful in your analysis:

• Are concepts defined?
• Are propositions explicit?
• Are linkages between the concepts and propositions specified?
• Is the theory logically organized?
• Is there a model/diagram? Does this help clarity?
• Are concepts, propositions and assumptions used consistently?
• Are outcomes or consequences stated or predicted?

Consider multiple ways of evaluating theory such as those discussed in this module. Select one that you will use to evaluate theories you picked.
